One afternoon, Stephanie Richardson was people watching out her window and saw a young man sitting on the street with a sign, asking for help. She watched as no one stopped, and the young man went unnoticed. For Stephanie, it struck a chord. She gathered her things and made her way to where the young man had been to offer some help, maybe buy him a meal, but he was gone.
Believing that we can all make a difference, the Richardson Family stepped up and decided they wanted to help in any way they could, big or small. "It doesn’t take a lot," Stephanie says, "just some care and empathy for those around you." She began looking into how to get involved and help those experiencing homelessness in Toronto, finding Covenant House and learning about our mission.
The Richardson Family Foundation embodies the spirit of our mission of absolute respect and unconditional love. Their hope is that their contribution and support will enable Covenant House to continue growing its programs and providing the necessities everyone deserves: housing, food, and opportunity.
Thank you to the Richardson Family Foundation, your generosity is making a difference in lives of young people at Covenant House.
