At Covenant House, our supports for youth start with preventing them from experiencing homelessness or sex trafficking through education. Our awareness and prevention programs are our way of helping young people know where to turn when facing these complex issues.

Our school presentations program brings an interactive look at the realities of youth homelessness and sex trafficking into the classroom. Before You Run is a presentation that teaches students the different paths to homelessness. It focuses on the impact of coping skills and ways to get help. Trafficked works to provide students with tools to protect themselves, so they will trust their instincts. It shows youth how to recognize the warning signs and reach out for help.

By starting these conversations with youth before they face homelessness or sex trafficking, young people can better navigate the circumstances and choices they encounter.
