As restrictions begin to lift, we are reminded of a time when things were much more challenging. During difficult times, our donors step up and offer support wherever it is needed most.
Lyft recently helped offer peace of mind to our staff and youth with a generous donation of ride credits.
“When pandemic restrictions made it difficult for Covenant House’s frontline workers to get to work, we knew that providing them with rides would ensure that they could keep offering services to some of Toronto’s most vulnerable residents,” says Peter Lukomskyj, Head of Growth Markets at Lyft.
The Lyftup initiative helps to ensure that everyone has access to affordable, reliable transportation to get to where they need to go. Peter explains, “transportation connects people to jobs, healthcare, education and each other. Millions of people lack access to basic needs because they can’t get a ride.”
