As COVID-19 took hold last spring, The Lewis and Ruth Sherman Foundation’s directors wanted to make an immediate impact in the community in the name of the late Lewis and Ruth Sherman. Covenant House was one of the organizations they chose to support.
Paddy Torsney, one of the Foundation’s directors, had this message: “We wanted to invest somewhere we knew would make a huge difference as fast as possible. We know that young people who come to Covenant House are not dealing with just physical challenges but also mental health challenges, especially during the lockdown. Covenant House has the track record to provide the services kids who are at risk need most. Lewis and Ruth would appreciate that they’re helping young people find a safe haven and build a brighter future.”
