As an elementary school principal, Adele Archer helped students achieve their full potential. But she saw many who lacked basic necessities such as safety, guidance and love. Her understanding of these needs led Adele to support homeless youth at Covenant House.

I believe we all have a moral obligation to help those who are young and vulnerable

Her visits to the agency always gave Adele a warm feeling and she wants more people to be aware of the services that help so many youth. “This is a vital place,” she says. “So much healing and guidance goes on here because they address the total person.”

A monthly donor for nearly 20 years, Adele has left a gift in her will. She understands that long-term funding is needed to continue and expand on the agency’s work.

Adele also sees her gift as her legacy. “This is a way to carry on my life’s work and shows these kids that someone cares about them.
